Voicing Women Launch
On Thursday 8 March, 2012, Social Scientists Without Borders launched the exciting new project, ‘Voicing Women’!

Thank you to everyone that participated and made our launch so very special!
2012 marked the 101st International Women’s Day. In celebration of this special event, we invited women’s organisations to join us in our global forum which will allow us to use Internet Communication Technology (ICT) to join together and celebrate females around the globe!
This session marked the first of Social Scientists Without Borders ‘Voicing Women’ project which aims to have monthly global forums to connect women around the world and to discuss issues of concern to us females. The aim of our ‘Voicing Women’ project is to use ICT to bridge the distance between us all, and to bring women together to better understand how we can make a positive impact in our own lives, our families lives, society, and the world as a whole.
For our first and ‘Voicing Women’ celebration, will had three very special guest speakers:
- Lindy Wafula from Project Africa in Kenya,
- Josephine Uzoya from the Centre for Rights and Development in Nigeria, and
- Ariana Karzai from the Pashtun Organization for Women.
