Online4Offline – Mobile Education Packs

Social Scientists Without Borders is in the process of developing an exciting new project, ‘Online4Offline’, a mobile education package that allows students and schools to access online information resources in an offline format. The aim of the project is to create access to relevant and educational internet resources, videos and open-source materials which can be accessed via CD or USB. This will enable schools in the developing world who do not have internet connection to still be able to access educational materials to create class exercises and learning programs.

Why Online4Offline?

In our work in the field, the SSWB team has witnessed the generous donations from Sweden and other countries who have provided schools in the developing world with computers to be used in their education programs. Unfortunately though, we have witnessed that often the schools have no access to internet, and the computers’ use is restricted to word processing and games. Through SSWB’s ‘Online4Offline’ project, we aim to transform the abilities and functions of offline PC’s for schools in the developing world by providing them with mobile education packages full of useful and educational materials by which teachers can develop meaningful classroom exercises and learning modules.
If you know a school that would benefit in participating in our Online4Offline project then please contact the SSWB team to find out more.
